Tuesday Letter #7 - Microacqusitions, Web Design and Life Questions
Happy Tuesday!
How was your week? I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great start of the week.
I hope you enjoy this week’s “Tuesday Letter” :)
📜 Quote from Readwise
In the words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: “Mistakes are a great educator when one is honest enough to admit them and willing to learn from them.”
I loved this book so much. It was one of those books that got me on the “right” path. Even though I don’t technically strictly follow the bullet journal method, I have learnt a lot of fundementals. My note-taking and journaling have evolved and are now something else. I will be forever grateful to that book for what it taught me.

💸 The World of Microacqusitions
I recently took Ryan Kulp’s Microacqusitions course (affiliate link) on buying and selling small businesses. Great course can’t recommend it more. If you go through the course you’ll get access to the Rainmakers Community, where we discuss all possible themes around acquiring small businesses.
Enough promotions. My point was that I am now looking to buy an established bussiness and have been collecting cool marketplaces that help people buy and sell quickly.
To be more specific I am looking to buy and established Django app. If you know of any such app or marketplace please let me know.
Here are some interesting marketplaces.
New ones:
More established ones:
- IndieMaker
- Shopify Exchange
- Flippa
- SideProjectors
- FE International
- Transferlot
- EmpireFlippers
- QuietLight
As you can see, I am collecting an RLL (Really Long List) to post in the future. Got the inspiration from growth.design post on Psychology
🖼️ The World of Web Design
I find designing interface extremely hard. I just can’t seem to think of any ideas. I make up CSS as I go, but it usually ends up looking bad. So, I have been in the search of a tool that will help me with designs. One of the outliers that I am dying to try out is TailwindUI, but currently can’t afford it. I am saving to buy it soon. In the meantime, I have been looking into these:
Other useful resources in web design:
- OGImpact The open source API for generating social images. I use it to generate social images for this newsletter.
- deckof for carrds hand-picked collection of inspirational carrd.co sites
- NoDesign A collection of tools for developers who have little to no artistic talent.
😁️ Person of the Week
I found Dru through his fantastic Trends newsletter. He has been making a lot of progress on getting traction and productizing the newsletter. He is a great inspiration! Dru also published a B2B SaaS Marketing Playbook and is working on a lot of cool projects.
🐔 Tweet of the week
A great question to ask yourself: “How would I spend my days if I didn’t have to worry about money?” Don’t remember where I first heard it, but that question changed my life. When you answer it for yourself, figure out how to change your life to focus on those things more.
This tweet got too me! I can’t even describe how much. I think this is such an importnant question. I’ve added it to my Readwise to get notified periodically.
What would you do if didn’t have to worry about money? Really, I would love to now.
